Tap-It : Safety App app for iPhone and iPad

tap-it is a safeguarding solution designed to put you in touch with your family and friends when you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation or simply to let people know you have arrived somewhere safely.

You can use tap-it to:

• Check-in – a single tap to let your friends and family know you have arrived at a friend’s house

• Collect me – a single tap to send a come and get me message to your network of friends

• Interrupt me – a single tap to get your network of friends to call you back because you want a reason to excuse yourself

• Locate – a single tap to request a network friend checks in.

• Safe locations – a single tap to find the three nearest locations if you are feeling vulnerable and want to get to somewhere you can get help. If you send a ‘Collect me’ or an ‘Interrupt me’ message tap-it also sends a
follow up message, to a nominated member of your network, 24 hours later to make sure you are OK.

• Report harassment – Record and map any incidents of harassment within the selected locality.

In order to use the full features of the tap-it app, users will need to enable/allow both push notifications and location services when prompted at the initial registration stage.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
